Why do people join?

They join to expand their social circles, add new activities, meet new people and have new stories to tell. Maybe they just moved into town, possibly just gotten out of a relationship, or just want to explore Chicago. Many of our members are realizing that the majority of their friends are married or dating and not as available to go out with. Joining Chicago Shakers Social & Adventure Club provides them the perfect opportunity to expand their network of friends and have an active social calendar

What kind of people belong to Chicago Shakers?

Enthusiastic people who want to have fun and meet other interesting and accomplished singles. Our members are active, down-to-earth individuals looking to meet other people like themselves for friendship and fun. As a member of Chicago Shakers Social and Adventure Club, you'll have these opportunities. We design each event around interacting and meeting new people.

Why do we interview people?

Our members are our most valuable asset and we do everything in our power to ensure their safety, satisfaction and comfort. We meet with everyone for a cup of coffee to make certain they are a "good fit" and we are the type of club they are looking for. We also share with them a photo album from events we have had and of people within the group so they can get a good understanding of who "we" are and what "we" do. We feel this is a necessity to run a quality social and adventure service and to manage it effectively. So, if you are interested in doing new things with people you can relate to, talk to, laugh with, we are the club for you. Meeting with potential members is our assurance that you will enjoy not just the events you're attending, but the new friends you make as well.

Is it true that Chicago Shakers has 6 to 8 events every month?

Each month we assemble 6 to 8 events to choose from. Consider choosing between seasonal activities such as kayaking, concerts at Ravinia, biking, snow tubing, skiing, horse racing at Arlington, baseball games, sailing, themed dinner parties, cooking classes and attending cultural events. At Chicago Shakers we manage the entire event from planning, to scheduling and upkeep of the fine details--all that's required from you is to SIGN UP and SHOW UP for the events
